WebCanvas is an affordable, easy-to-use web content management system that allows authors to upload their own content quickly and simply without recourse to external agencies, saving you money and expedite content changes. Features
Easily browse pages
Pages in WebCanvas are easily browsed and edited via a tree-style navigation system which follows the structure of the site. Simple status lights indicate the current status of the page. New pages and directories can be created via the same interface. Task-oriented
Tasks that content authors would typically perform are grouped together in a simple, clean interface. When authors log-in, they are presented here with a list of the most recent pages they created, along with quick-links to edit the content on those pages. In-context editing
When editing a page, there's no difficulty establishing where content goes - you can see a page build-up as you edit pieces of content, and you can exit and return at any time (to add an image to the database, for example). This approach makes editing a breeze and reduces the learning-curve of users. Advanced Image support
WebCanvas supports uploading of images into easily navigable (and user-definable) categories, which are always navigated in a gallery-view style. This makes it easy to locate the right image to add to your webpages. Built-in image resizing for JPEG images allows users to upload directly from a digital camera, and rotate and resize to pre-defined sizes on the fly, so image editing software is unnecessary for 'catalogue-style' images. Add advanced functionality easily
By adding a simple plugin, users can add all kinds of dynamic functionality to any page on the website, meaning that the surrounding content remains under their control. This means that any page can become a search results page, or process a form, or a shopping cart summary, for instance, and the content author can keep control of textual and graphical content that surrounds that dynamic element. Many plugins are available, and the online manual describes how to go about developing your own or extending the supplied plugins.
